Affiliate Disclosure

Last Updated: July 13, 2026

Goats Authority is free to read. We fund it in two ways: Amazon affiliate links and Google AdSense advertising. This page explains exactly how that works and how we keep our recommendations honest.

1. FTC Compliance

This disclosure is provided in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255). In plain terms: we have a financial relationship with some of the products we link to, and we earn money from ads. You should assume that product links on this Site may be affiliate links and that we may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you.

2. Amazon Associates

Goats Authority is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program that lets sites earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.

When you click an Amazon link on our Site and make a purchase, we may earn a small referral fee. This does not change the price you pay. Product images, prices, and availability on our Site come from Amazon and may be out of date — the price and terms shown on Amazon at checkout are the ones that apply. Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates, and our participation does not imply Amazon's endorsement.

3. Advertising (Google AdSense)

We display ads through Google AdSense. These ads are selected automatically by Google based on factors such as the page content, your general location, and — unless you opt out — your interests. We don't choose the specific ads that appear, and showing an ad is not an endorsement of the advertised product.

You control ad personalization through the consent prompt our advertising partner shows on your first visit, and we honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal. For full details on the data used for ads and analytics, see our Privacy Policy.

4. How Affiliate Links Work

  • What they are: a link with a tracking code so the retailer knows the visit came from us. If you buy within the retailer's tracking window, we're credited a commission.
  • No extra cost to you: the price is the same whether or not you use our link.
  • Your choice: if you'd rather not use an affiliate link, you can go to the retailer directly. We appreciate your readership either way.

5. Editorial Independence

Affiliate commissions and ad revenue do not dictate what we write. We recommend products we believe are genuinely useful for goat owners, we point out downsides when they exist, and a higher commission never buys a better review. If a product we've recommended gets worse, we update the article when we learn of it. Having an affiliate link to a product does not guarantee we recommend it.

If we ever publish content that is paid for or sponsored by a brand, we will clearly label it as such. We do not currently publish sponsored content.

6. Product Information and Accuracy

We work to keep product details accurate, but prices, availability, features, and specifications change and may become out of date. Always confirm the current details on the retailer's own page before buying. We're not responsible for changes made by manufacturers or retailers.

7. Not Veterinary Advice

Product recommendations — including feeds, supplements, minerals, dewormers, and other health-related items — are general information, not veterinary advice. Animals and situations differ. Consult a licensed veterinarian before starting any medication, supplement, or treatment for your goats, and follow the product label and your vet's guidance on dosing. See our Terms of Service for more.

8. Questions

Questions about how we're funded or about a specific recommendation? Contact us through our Contact page or at hello@goatsauthority.com. Thanks for reading — and for supporting the Site.
